|Northern Gran Pulse
The Northern areas of Gran Pulse are known to be as wild and dangerous as they originally were before the people moved in from Cocoon. There are no new cities built here, you will find only wild lands such as the ruins of Oerba, Taejin's tower, Sulyya springs and the Mah'habara Subterra. These lands are still ruled by their guardian Fal'Cie's, which makes them off limits for the regular citizen.

|Central Gran Pulse
The Central region of Gran Pulse is known for its wide expanses, such as the Archylte steppe. Academia, the new main capital, is located in the central region, as well as the Augusta tower, the Faultwarrens and Vallis Media. The area knows some safe area's in and around the city, but most of the plains are still roamed by the wild beasts of Pulse. Some area's are still ruled by their Fal'Cie guardian.

|Southern Gran Pulse
Apart from the Yaschas Massif, the Southern area of Gran Pulse is highly populated, knowing two cities built to substitute for their Cocoon counterparts: New Nautilus and New Bodhum. Apart from these cities the Sunleth Waterscape can also be found here. The southern region is under high security to prevent citizens from falling prey to the local wildlife. This however does not mean one does not have to be careful anymore.
